Church Dance

A while ago,we were preparing for the sister's eve for one of our sisters that was about getting married so we decided to do a choreography for her and the day was a thursday cos her engagement and wedding was friday, saturday respectively.
So we got the song and was looking for the dance steps and some people said let's do azonto steps.
Some people refused and the azonto people justified themselves saying they can dance it as long as its a thursday!!!
I was appalled in church now, there is a type of dance that u don't dance on sundays?
After much arguing and bickering back and fort, the azonto steps were added but this got me thinking is this right?
For them to say 'since its nt a Sunday's they very well know that its wrong,so Y can't they apply that principle to all days of the week since we are even using the church too?
Some also have this class of argument that since we are dancing it to 'God's song' doesn't matter.
I honestly don't know but this is my opinion.
What is wrong is wrongful Azonto,Kukere etc dance steps are wrong and shouldn't be danced in a church even if its a monday or wednesday or friday.
But I don't know,I guess my SU genes are kicking in.
What do u think?
