Many people do not know the signs to watch for to recognize that their friend or loved one is in an abusive relationship. Abuse can happen in any type of relationship and both women and men can be abused. This is a really serious matter to me,because I honestly don't think about it like that in that I didn't grow up in an abusive home. I honestly don't get why women stay in an abusive relationship.For what?Because of your children?Or because you need the sex?Or because you like the feeling of'oko no olori aya'?Or because of what people will say?I am not married so I honestly don't know. I have been to Lagos before,but with my parents,all I had to do was sit in the car and get to my destination. But this time,I had to go by myself!It was Dami's introduction and I really wanted to go. I saw this story online and I decided to share it. As I walked home one freezing day, I stumbled on a wallet someone had lost in the street. I picked it up and looked inside to find some identification so I could call the owner. I have been trying to avoid writing this post for a long time,because that will mean asking myself some questions I don't want to ask myself/questions I don't have answers to. Lemme just write the introduction part,so you all can see where am coming from. A while ago,we were preparing for the sister's eve for one of our sisters that was about getting married so we decided to do a choreography for her and the day was a thursday cos her engagement and wedding was friday,saturday respectively. So we got the song and was looking for the dance steps and some people said let's do azonto steps. Some people refused and the azonto people justified themselves saying they can dance it as long as its a thursday!!!
