Bollywood looses an actress
Nafisa Khan, who is better known by her Bollywood name 'Jiah Khan', hanged herself on her Juhu apartment. She made her presence felt as a bold and beautiful actress in Bollywood. Debuted with 'Nishabd' and went on to work with Aamir Khan in 'Ghajini' and Sajid Khan in'Housefull'. The showbiz community is lamenting the death of Jiah Khan and thecelebrities expressed their sorrow through their tweets.
Jiah Khan was among the lucky few who got to debut with the legendary Amitabh Bachchan in 'Nishabd', who is unable to believe the fact that she's no more said,"WHAT ...!!! Jiah Khan??? What has happened? Is this correct? Unbelievable!"
Farah Khan who had worked with her in Housefull wrote, "CAN'T register that jiahis no more...worked with her in Housefulln she was so beautiful n such a good soul.2 young 2 go jiah."
Riteish Deshmukh responding to the newswrote, "Nothing worse than waking up to bad news- shocked n dumb struck- RIP Jiah." He went on to add, "Worked with Jiah in Housefull- she was full of life n had incredible sense of humour. She wasa friend n will miss her. Am deeply saddened."
Shahid Kapoor, who could have been herco-star in 'Chance Pe Dance' if she would not have been replaced by Genelia D'souza, said: "Shocked n saddened to hear about jiah khan ... Very disturbing... RIP ....may her soul rest in peace."
Anupam Kher said, "Jiah Khan was full oflife when I worked with her long time back. So sad that something drove her totake this extreme step.RIP"
Director Kunal Kohli wonders, "What she must've gone thru to take such a step we'll never know. May her soul rest in peace."
"Appearances can be so misleading. Whoreally knows what lies behind that smile?", says Gul Panag, former Miss India.
Sonam Kapoor laments the pain and agony Jiah Khan was going thorugh and wrote, "Nobody should be in so much pain and a state of such hopelessness. I hope her soul finds some respite in death."
Amidst the saddened messages Bollywood celebrities like Bipasha Basu, Saroj Khan, Sophie Choudry came up with words of hope and life.
While Bipasha expresses, "Life has to be experienced and lived! It's a limitless ocean, have to swim through it,and not let it drown you! Abandon the negative thoughts n find the good in the smallest of things that happen in ur life! Embrace life and life will embrace you back!"
Most celebrated choreographer Saroj Khan wished, "RIP Jiah Khan !!! I wish the next gen are strong enuff to struggle& luv the roller coaster of life..."
"We r all surrounded by negativity. Don't let it consume u. U hv to find happiness in the smallest things,the real things. It's the only way," added Sophie Choudry.
Mini Mathur: "Im disappointed to hear about Jiah Khan. LIFE is more important than all of us. We didn't choose it. It chose us. Gotta respect that."
